About this Event:

Join Center for the Collaborative Classroom and Battelle for Kids for a one-day, interactive institute grounded in literacies for the 21st century.

This institute supports K–8 teachers, administrators, and literacy leaders who are working to ensure that students become engaged and proficient readers. High school teachers who support struggling readers are also encouraged to attend.

During this institute, participants will experience structures for teaching and assessing reading comprehension and vocabulary that build independence, support inquiry and collaboration, and help students meet the demands of the new standards. Participants will also deepen their understanding of the organic integration of SEL and literacy and experience a shift in teacher stance from information disseminator to learning facilitator.

Date & Time: Monday, March 12, 2018. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Workshop is from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The registration fee includes the workshop, materials, and lunch.
